Axiata is a committed, long-term Investor in the countries in which we operate. Our national contributions are therefore represented by
the long-term value that we have created through our investments in the local telecommunications industry, network infrastructure, talent
development, environmental conservation and in society.
As long-term investors, we generally do not distinguish between investments that are made for commercial or non-commercial reasons.
Instead, we prefer to take a holistic view of our investments where the value we create in our countries of operation are to the mutual
benefit of both our business and the countries themselves.
Since 2013, Axiata’s National Contribution Report has been developed by an independent third-party who has continued to assess our
contribution and provided updates for 2015. This part of the report is based on the data generated by the independent third party in
respect of the contributions Axiata has made in 2015 in the various countries in Asia in which we operate.
