We refer to the various news items entitled as follows:

1. 'Telekom may not return excess cash to shareholders. Firm looking at US$1b investment in Vietnam' reported in the Malaysian Reserve on 27 August 2007;

2. 'Telekom Malaysia Eyes Vietnam Military Telecom Buy - Report' reported by Dow Jones Kuala Lumpur on 27 August 2007; and

3. 'Telekom Malaysia may Invest $1 Billion in Vietnam, Reserve says' reported by Bloomberg on 27 August 2007.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to inform and clarify to the Exchange that the above news items were made pursuant to market speculation and as a matter of policy we do not comment on news which are speculative in nature.
