The Board of Directors of Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) (“Board”) had on 21 February 2020 announced a tax exempt dividend of RM0.040 under single tier system per ordinary share of Axiata (“Share”) and a special dividend of RM0.005 under single tier system per Share in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019 (“Dividend”) and the application of the DRS to the Dividend, whereby shareholders of Axiata will be given an option to elect to reinvest the whole or part of the Dividend into new Shares.
On behalf of the Board, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that an application to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for the listing of and quotation for the new Shares to be issued pursuant to the DRS in respect of the Dividend has been submitted today.
