The Board of Directors of Axiata wishes to inform that the Board Risk Management Committee (“BRMC”) of Axiata has been renamed as the Board Risk and Compliance Committee (“BRCC”) with effect from 20 February 2020.

The change of name of  the BRMC to the BRCC is to encapsulate the enlargement of its role which now includes the corporate and regulatory compliance functions. The four areas that are covered by the BRCC are:  

1. Enterprise Risk Management,
2. Ethics &Compliance,
3. Cyber Security and Privacy, and
4. Regulatory Compliance.

Following the renaming of the BRMC to the BRCC, Dr David Robert Dean has been appointed as Chairman of the BRCC. The BRCC comprises the same members as the previous BRMC, the members of which are as follows:

1. Dr David Robert Dean  –   Chairman, Independent Non-Executive Director (INED)  
2. Dato Dr. Nik Ramlah Nik Mahmood – Member, INED
3. David Lau Nai Pek – Member, Senior INED 
4. Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim  – Member, Managing Director/President & Group Chief Executive Officer (“GCEO”)
5. Dato’ Mohd Izzaddin Idris  –  Member, Executive Director/Deputy GCEO
