Axiata wishes to inform that the Supreme Court has, following the Ncell Application, made the follow orders on 25 April 2019: -
(a) A show cause order is issued against the LTPO, Inland Revenue Department of Nepal and the Ministry of Finance of Nepal (“Respondents”) being the respondents to the Ncell Application, directing the appearance of the Respondents for a hearing before a Division Bench on 6 May 2019 (“Hearing Date”); and
(b) That a temporary stay order is granted until the Hearing Date, in the period of which the Respondents are refrained from taking any steps against Ncell.
Axiata will make further announcements upon material developments arising from the Ncell Application.
