The Board of Directors of Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) (“Board”) had on 22 February 2019 announced a tax exempt dividend under single tier system of RM0.045 per ordinary share in Axiata (“Share”) in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2018 (“Dividend”) and the application of the DRS to the Dividend, whereby shareholders of Axiata will be given an option to elect to reinvest the whole or part of the Dividend into new Shares.
On behalf of the Board, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that an application to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for the listing of and quotation for the new Shares to be issued pursuant to the DRS in respect of the Dividend has been submitted today.
