YM Tengku Dato' Sri Azmil is currently the Deputy Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad ("Khazanah"). He joined Khazanah as Executive Director of Investments in 2011. Prior to joining Khazanah , Tengku Azmil was the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines. He joined Malaysia Airlines as Executive Director/ Chief Financial Officer in August 2005 after having served as a Non-Executive Board of Director since August 2004. Before that, Tengku Azmil was the Chief Financial Officer and then Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad.
