We wish to inform that Axiata Digital Services Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”), had on 10 October 2017 completed the incorporation of Axiata Digital Bangladesh (Private) Limited (“ADB”) (Registration No.C-140384/2017), a private company limited by shares, in People’s Republic of Bangladesh, under the Companies Act (Bangladesh) 1994.

ADB was incorporated with an authorised share capital of BDT10,000,000 divided into 100,000 ordinary shares of BDT100 each. The issued and paid-up share capital of ADB is BDT1,600,000 divided into 16,000 ordinary shares of BDT100 each and its intended principal activity is to carry out an online ticketing business in Bangladesh.

The incorporation of ADB is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings and Net Tangible Assets of Axiata for financial year ending 31 December 2017.

None of the Directors and/or major shareholders of Axiata and/or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the incorporation of ADB.
