Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) refers to the announcement dated 8 November 2016 wherein it was announced that Celcom and TRI’s solicitors were served with the Notices of Appeal (“Appeals”) filed by TSDTR and Dato’ Bistamam bin Ramli (“BR”’) with the Court of Appeal against the decision of the High Court on 21 October 2016 striking out TSDTR and BR’s Counterclaims.
Axiata wishes to announce that the Court of Appeal has today allowed the Appeals and reinstated the Counterclaims for both the Conspiracy Suit and the Indemnity Suit filed by TSDTR and BR.
Axiata will make further announcements from time to time in respect of any material developments on these 2 matters.
