In reference to the article in The Star Biz today, 14 March 2016, “Axiata Tower Quest”, Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) wishes to clarify that as announced on 19 December 2014 and subsequent announcements, its wholly-owned subsidiary, Axiata Investments (Labuan) Limited, is in the process of establishing a subsidiary in Pakistan by way of acquisition of edotco Pakistan (Private) Limited.  

Axiata’s wholly owned subsidiary, edotco Group Sdn Bhd is constantly assessing numerous opportunities to expand its scope of operations in a value accretive manner. However, discussions are still at an early stage and too premature for any announcement to be made.
