Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) refers to its announcement dated 17 April 2013 in respect of the Notice of Appeal filed by the 1st Defendant and the 2nd Defendant respectively with the Court of Appeal against the judgment of the High Court dated 20 March 2013 in favour of TRI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Celcom Axiata Berhad (“Appeal”).
Axiata wishes to announce that the Court of Appeal had today dismissed the Appeal with costs of RM30,000.00 to be paid by the 1st Defendant and the 2nd Defendant to TRI.
The 1st Defendant and the 2nd Defendant have 1 month from today to file an application for leave to appeal to the Federal Court against the above decision.
Axiata will make further announcements from time to time in respect of any material developments in this matter.
