Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) wishes to announce that Celcom Axiata Berhad (“Celcom”), Celcom Resources Berhad (“Celcom Resources”) and Dato’ Lim Kheng Yew (“DLKY”) have reached an amicable settlement without any admission as to liability in respect of their ongoing legal disputes, namely:-

1. Court of Appeal Civil Appeal No W-02-938-04/2012 arising from Kuala Lumpur High Court (Commercial Division) Suit No. S3-22-370-2004 (formerly suit No. D7-22-2655-2002) Technology Resources Industries Berhad (now known as Celcom Resources) vs Tan Sri Dato’ Tajudin Bin Ramli (“TSDTR”), Dato’ Bistaman Ramli (“DBR”) and DLKY;

2. Kuala Lumpur High Court Civil Suit No: D5-22-610-2006 Celcom & another Resources vs TSDTR and 8 Others; and

3. Kuala Lumpur High Court Civil Suit No: D1-22-1960-2008 Celcom & another vs TSDTR & 6 others.

Pursuant to the above, Celcom and Celcom Resources have today filed their respective notices of discontinuance with no order as to costs and without liberty to file afresh against DLKY in respect of Civil Suit Nos: D5-22-610-2006 and D1-22-1960-2008. 

Axiata will make further announcements from time to time in respect of any material developments in this matter.
