We refer to our announcement on 18 November 2009 on the entry into Memorandum of Understanding between Axiata and Huawei (“MOU”) to cooperate in areas of innovation, procurement and financing. Under the terms of the MOU, the duration of the non-binding MOU is for a period of 2 years from the date of the MOU.
We wish to announce that Axiata and Huawei had on 23 November 2011 agreed to extend the duration of the MOU for a further period of 1 year with effect from 18 November 2011.
