Refence is made to Axiata Group Berhad’s (“Axiata”) announcements dated 13 October 2021, 6 January 2022 and 11 February 2022 (“Previous Announcements”).
Axiata wishes to inform that today, the High Court of Malaya has granted an injunction which prohibits Axiata from including Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd’s shareholding in Tune Talk from being included in the proposed sale by Axiata of Celcom Axiata Berhad to Digi.Com Berhad (“Proposed Merger”).
In respect of the other reliefs sought by the plaintiffs as described in Axiata’s announcement dated 13 October 2021, Axiata also wishes to inform that they were all dismissed by the High Court.
Axiata will deliberate on the High Court’s decision and decide on all appropriate courses of action to be taken in consultation with its legal advisers.
