Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) refers to its previous announcement dated 6 February 2009 in respect of the above matter.
Axiata wishes to announce that the applications filed by Dieter Sieber, Dr. Frank-Reinhard Bartsch, Joerg Andreas Boy, Axel Hass and Oliver Tim Axmann, the 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th Defendants respectively, to set aside the Notice of Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim were today dismissed by the Judge with costs. The Judge directed that the said defendants file their respective defence within thirty (30) days of today and that proceedings against the said defendants be stayed pending the hearing and disposal of any appeals filed by them to the Court of Appeal.
