We refer to the announcements dated 25 June 2008, 7 September 2009 and 14 September 2009 as well as the Circular to Shareholders of Axiata dated 17 July 2008 ("Circular") in relation to, amongst others, the Proposed Merger.
On behalf of Axiata, we are pleased to announce that the High Court of Gujarat had, on 26 November 2009, approved the Proposed Merger in connection with an application made by Idea. As disclosed in the Circular, the Proposed Merger is also subject to the approval of the High Court of New Delhi.
