Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata”) refers to the announcement dated 24 October 2008 on the commencement of legal proceedings by Celcom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Axiata and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Technology Resources Industries Berhad (“TRI”) against certain former directors of Celcom and TRI, DeTeAsia Holding GmbH and Beringin Murni Sdn Bhd.

Axiata wishes to announce that the application dated 24 December 2008 by TSTDR and Dato’ Bistamam bin Ramli to strike out the Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim was today dismissed by the Judge with costs.
