TM International Berhad ("TMI") wishes to announce that the Board of Directors of TMI had today approved the proposal on the change of the company's name from "TM International Berhad" to "Axiata Group Berhad" ("Proposed Change of Name").

The request for availability of the name "Axiata Group Berhad" had been approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia ("CCM"). The Proposed Change of Name is subject to the approval of the shareholders of TMI at an Extraordinary General Meeting to be convened.

The Proposed Change of Name, if approved by the shareholders, will be effective from the date of issuance of the Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name by CCM pursuant to Section 23 of the Companies Act, 1965.

A circular to shareholders setting out the details on the Proposed Change of Name will be issued in due course.
